Short Film – Rules & Regulations

Theme:

• Apre-announced theme will be provided for the final round.

Film Specifications:

• Genre: Dramatic, emotional, social message, thriller, or comedy entries are permitted.
• Length: Strictly between 6 minutes and 10 minutes, including opening and closing credits. Exceeding the time limit will result in disqualification.
• Language: English or Tamil (with English subtitles mandatory for non-English films).
• Format: MPEG4 or AVI format.

Eligibility:

• Team Size: Departments may be represented by a team of 5 to 7 participants.
• Originality:All entries must be original content.
• Company Affiliation: At least 80% of the total cast and crew must be working for the company submitting the film.

Selection Process:

• Disqualification: Films exceeding the time limit, containing vulgarity, or promoting discrimination based on caste, gender, or religion will be disqualified.

Registration:

• There is no limit on the number of entries per company.
• All contestants must present their valid company ID cards during registration.

Judging:

• Captivate with Storytelling: Engaging narrative, clear message, and effective use of the given theme.
• Impress with Technical Execution: Solid cinematography, sound design, and editing that enhances the story.
• Showcase Originality & Creativity: Fresh ideas, unique perspective, and impactful execution.
• The judges’ decisions are final and binding.
